Candidate receives nod from Harford County Executive and local Republican Club
June 21, 2010 -- Marilyn Booker, RN, a Republican candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in Maryland’s 7th legislative district, is conducting a strong grassroots campaign which is continuing to attract favorable support, including two important endorsements this month. First, Harford County Executive David Craig strongly endorsed Marilyn at her Harford County fundraiser at the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Hall on June (date). Craig told the attendees, “Marilyn is balanced, intelligent, and clued in. She understands what people want and what people need in her district.”
Second, members of the Reagan Republican Club in Baltimore County voted on Thursday, June 17th to formally endorse Marilyn as their choice for delegate in the 7th district. This endorsement is especially significant due to the requirement that each endorsed candidate needed to receive a minimum of two-thirds of the total vote.
“I think Marilyn is beginning to pick up these endorsements because Republicans are recognizing her abilities and strengths, and they understand that she would make a terrific member of the House of Delegates,” said Jennifer Kerhin of Middle River.
The 7th district includes Cockeysville, Long Green, Glen Arm, Kingsville, Middle River, Fallston and Joppatowne. The Republican primary election will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010.
